Hejje-Gejje Foundation was started in the year 1992 in the land of Lord Sri Krishna Udupi with the aim of nurturing and promoting Indian Classical dance forms and music to the youth of Coastal Karnataka. Hejje-Gejje has carved a niche for itself in the field of classical and folk dances in Coastal Karnataka and thereby earned the appreciation from the society.
In these 25 years, more than thousands of students are trained in Skill based Indian Classical Dance forms and Music, and have successfully organized more than thousands of stage programmers across the Nation. Vidushi Smt. Yasha Ramakrishna is a driving force behind Hejje-Gejje, proud disciple of prestigious Shanthala awardee Vidushi Smt. Nandini Eshwar and State Government awardee Vidushi Smt. Chandramathi.
To mark the Silver Jubilee celebrations of Hejje-Gejje foundation®, we have decided to organise National Level Bharatanatyam competition, National Level Seminar/Workshops and series of dance programmes for a duration of five months starting from mid of July till the end of December. His Holiness Paryaya Swamiji of Sri Krishna Matha Udupi Sri Sri Vidyadheesha Teertha Swamiji is the Honorary President of this mega event and he inaugurated the event on 15 th of July 2018.
We will be facilitating the achievers and scholars in Indian Classical Dance forms, Fine Arts and Culture to motivate our rich Indian Culture to the present and next generation. We are expecting many artists and art lovers for this mega event.
